Customers often have a design ready for their invitation cards and want a print only service. At CardFusion – Your supplier for Indian Wedding Cards, we can assist with printing your outer invites, your inserts and envelopes. Please note that for the print only service, we will supply you with the dimensions that we work with. The costs associated with the print only service will not include any design input from ourselves.
Here are a few tips to bear in mind when looking at a print only service:
- Do you need your invites digitally printed and does it have multiple colours? If the answer is yes, we usually recommend printing on White or Cream coloured cards. The main reason for this is that if you have say a Blue and Red design and you wanted to print on a deep Purple invitation card, the Blue and Red design will get lost within the dark Purple and the end product will look extremely poor.
- If you have an outline and would like foiling on the outer cover, we can also help with this. The advantage with this is that you have multiple options available in terms of card colours. We have Red, Dark Red, Royal Blue, Deep Purple, Fuschia, Pearl Cream, White to name a few.
- Some customers may opt for to have a digitally coloured printed border, with the rest of the text and images foiled. We can also assist with this, but again, it would be highly recommended to use a White or Cream invitation card. The main differences between digital printing and foiling is that digital printing allows for the use of colour, similar to what you see on a photo, whereas foiling has a beautiful shine on it, which makes the card luxurious.
- What size invitation cards to you require? One concern many customers have is will their invitation cards fit into standard postage. The below invitation cards that are discussed will all fit into standard postage (even when they are in the envelopes). One other important thing to note is how much information is required on each card? If there is a large amount of writing, we would recommend going for one of our A5 invites (either A5 portrait or A5 landscape). These are larger in size than our other cards and still fit into standard postage.
- The below invitation cards require a safe area of 5mm for each side.
Wedding Cards with an outer cover, inserts and envelope
If you have multiple inserts that you need printing, we would also recommend having an outer cover. All our our invitation cards have a flap at the bottom of the card (which hold the inserts in place). The outer cover is then put within an envelope, which is then given to your guests.
1) A5 Portrait Orientation Wedding Invitation Card
The A5 portrait invitation card is ideal for those that want their invites to look spacious. Along with the A5 landscape invite, it is the largest size invite that we supply. As mentioned above, we can supply this invitation card in various colours.
The dimensions for our A5 portrait invitation card is as follows:
Envelope (C5): 162mm wide x 229mm height (landscape orientation).
Invitation card (when closed): (A5) 148mm wide x 210mm height when closed (portrait orientation)
Invitation card (when opened): 297mm wide x 230mm height, which includes a 20mm flap at the bottom to hold the inserts.
Inserts: 142mm width x 205mm height (portrait orientation)

Invitation card (when closed): (A5) 210mm wide x 148mm height when closed (landscape orientation)
Invitation card (when opened): 210mm wide x 316mm height when opened, which includes a 20mm flap at the bottom to hold the inserts.

3) DL Wedding Invitation Card
The DL shape invitation card is our most popular sized cards. The size of this card when in it’s envelope is only 220mm wide x 110mm height. This invite is ideal for those that want to keep their wording simple and straight to the point.
The dimensions for our square invitation card is as follows:
Envelope (DL): 220mm wide x 110mm height.
Invitation card (when closed): 210mm wide x 105mm height
Invitation card (when opened): 210mm wide x 230mm height, which includes a 20mm flap at the bottom to hold the inserts.
Inserts: 205mm wide x 98mm height (landscape orientation)
